Jesperhus Flower Park
It is approximately 10 km from Pinenhus to Jesperhus Flower Park.
Jesperhus Flower Park is a family-owned business that has developed over the years into Northern Europe’s largest flower park.

Spøttrup Castle
Distance from Pinenhus: approx. 25 km.
There are many stories to discover at Spøttrup Medieval Castle and many activities over the summer with markets, live performances, tours, etc.
The castle is also an attraction in itself with its lovely park, which contains one of the country’s richest herb gardens.
You can explore the castle’s towers, knight’s hall, church rooms and everything else that belongs to a castle.
Jenle
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 20 km.
Visit Nanna & Jeppe Aakjær’s artist home. The home is located in the middle of an exciting cultural landscape with a number of manors, including Eskær, Astrup, and the Grinderslev monastery church with a holy spring.
The museum displays objects in tableaux from an unusually exciting life, where Nanna was the master of the hand and Jeppe the master of the mind.
Aakjær’s poems and social novels came into being at the same time as the community centers, the colleges, the cooperative and labor movement, and the Danish association and welfare life, and the songs are still part of the living Danish community and democracy.
You can also see the Mill in the park and in the Nordskoven the sculpture “I am the Oat” as well as in the Sydskoven Nanna and Jeppe Aakjær’s grave.
Daugbjerg Limestone Mines
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 41.5 km.
In Daugbjerg Limestone Mines you will be taken underground, into exciting and atmospheric limestone mines, where you can hear the sounds of the hard-working miners, as well as the screams of bats, mixing with visual impressions from the curved corridors and winding labyrinths.
The long, dark corridors are an experience from an exciting world where Jens Langkniv, highwaymen and other night people passed the time more than 300 years ago. In Jens Langkniv’s caves there are more than 7000 bats divided into 5 different species, some of which are very rare.
After the trip to the mines, a hike through the old and incredibly beautiful peace forest is recommended.
The Limfjorden Distillery
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 24 km.
Ole and Silvia opened Brænderiet Limfjorden in 2013 in Mors and moved in 2018 to Sundsøre in Østsalling, where they reopened it in the old ferry inn with a view of the beautiful Limfjord.
The distillery focuses on local flavors and is located near Sundsøre harbor.
At Brænderiet Limfjorden you can take a guided tour with tastings.
Thy National Park
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 44 km.
Thy was chosen by the Minister of the Environment as the first Danish national park on June 29, 2007.
The choice was justified by the fact that the nature in Thy is of great national and international importance. This is due not least to the many and large landscapes with dunes and dune fields – from the lighthouse in Hanstholm to Agger Tange – which are completely unique in a European context.
The assessment also included the fact that there is a good opportunity to create a large, coherent nature reserve in the area, which will strengthen the local flora and fauna.
Fur
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 22 km.
Fur is a charming island in the Limfjord, offering a unique mix of nature, history and exciting activities. Fur harbour is a cosy harbour where you can take a break and enjoy the maritime atmosphere. Visit Fur Museum, a fascinating museum that tells the history of the island and its geological heritage, including the famous Fur chalk. You can also learn more about the island’s culture and the old chalk production. If you like beautiful nature, the Fur forests, the dramatic cliffs and beaches are worth a visit. Go hiking in the beautiful forests along the cliffs, which provide a fantastic view of the Limfjord.
Højriis Castle
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 11 km.
Højriis is first mentioned in 1397. Knight Johan Skarpenberg, the owner at the time, was one of Queen Margrethe I’s most important advisors. Skarpenberg was a powerful man who, in addition to Højriis, owned many large farms, including Spøttrup in Salling. Højriis Castle is today a modern business with forestry, agriculture, rental of houses and tourism. Højriis is privately owned and not listed. The funds for the restoration and maintenance of the castle and park come from tourism.
Dueholm Monastery
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 10 km.
Dueholm Monastery was founded before 1371 by the Order of Saint John. The order, which was formed in connection with the Crusades, established monasteries around Europe to earn money to defend Christianity in the Holy Land. Their hospital business in particular was a profitable source of income for the order. Dueholm Monastery was the order’s sixth monastery in Denmark.
Morsø Tractor Museum
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 17 km.
No less than 150 different tractors are exhibited, divided into almost 100 brands. The oldest is an American Heider from 1917, the newest is a Fiat from 1960. Over the past 30 years, the museum has also imported tractors from the GDR, Poland, the Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Canada and the USA, making the collection quite unique. The exhibition is spread over 1400m2 in 7 halls.
The pedestrian street in Nykøbing
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 10 km.
The lively pedestrian street connects the city and leads down to the harbor and marina, which is full of life throughout the summer. The entire harbor area is extremely popular among the many sailors in the Limfjord.
Skive pedestrian street
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 23 km.
In Skive town center, there is a cozy network of pedestrian streets, where many shops tempt and offer a diverse shopping experience. There are activities and life all year round.
Hjerl Hede
Distance from Pinenhus: approximately 43 km.
At the Hjerl Hede Open Air Museum you will travel through time when you explore in and around the old, historic houses.
We bring history to life with reenactments in the summer and at Christmas, where people in period clothing take you back to the old days. Here you get up close to life from around the 17th to the 19th century and can experience how we master and work with craftsmanship.
Visit all the animals, which belong to historical breeds, that live throughout the 20-hectare museum grounds.
During the high season, you can also ride a horse-drawn carriage or take the old steam locomotive out through the heathland to Denmark’s largest heathland lake, Flyndersø.
